THE GOLDEN YEARS
OF DUTCH POP

The Golden Years of Dutch Pop was formed in 2018 by brothers Matt and Peter DeAngelis, together with their long-time friend and musical collaborator, Alasdair MacKenzie. Based in Boston, MA, GYDP arrived on the musical scene with a simple goal: to make genre-blending rock-and-roll that blurred the lines between the timeless and the modern, the exploratory and the approachable, the lively and the intimate. Rooted in the tradition of live music, GYDP pursues a radically authentic and honest sound that is uniquely their own.

In this spirit, the band has evolved and will continue to evolve through the years: in instrumentation, personnel, and sound. Despite this, the core approach to the music has not and will never change. Currently, Golden Years is lucky to have Chris Haley, Liz Kantor, and Andrea Scarfo lending their unique musical voices to the project. Together, GYDP is treading familiar ground in strange, new ways.
